copy a .gif

OK....

I have read and read and I cant figure this SIMPLE task out !!!

I found a .gif in someones signature on another board and I dragged it to my desktop... NOW for whatever reason it wont play and i tried sending it by email to someone and it only sent the first frame of the .gif

It copied at 1.2 mb so it would seem like it copied correct due to the size BUT it wont play... !!!!

HELP I must be really stupid !

What do you mean it won't play? It's a gif, not a video file!

Meaning it acts like a .jpg

I tried to upload it in this post but got this message... figures

BUT it did seem like it would upload..... either way i want to view it on my mac and cant

ok... here is a smaller one that worked...

my problem is I cant view it in motion on my desktop and dont know what to use on my mac to view it correctly

There is no program installed other than web browser than can play animated gif. Dont know what is the best program to read / make animated gif's but i have used photoshop.
