Anyone able to copy music albums from iPad's Music Library directly to a USB drive connected to the iPad? The native IOS Files app can copy photos and documents ok. Looks like music only from a Mac desktop.

Apple seems to have really firewalled off the music library, be it copying music into it or out of it. File mgmt. apps that can access the Photos library (e.g., FileBrowser Pro, Documents by Readdle) can't see Music.

Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, looks like music is pretty much locked down by Apple (at least from IOS).

Music purchased on iTunes on Windows is not protected like movies. This can happen on Mac too. Can be transferred to USB. I transferred it to my Android phone on time, there was no problem.

The question here, though, is going from an iPad's Music Library to a USB drive connected to the iPad.

I think both of you are correct. Not possible apparently from iPad, but can from desktops like Mac or Windows. Maybe third party app?

Definitely locked down on iOS. If you don’t have the original files on a computer… maybe there’s a 3rd party option? Not familiar.
