Hi friends,i think in my next purchase a Macbook Pro and i want transfer all my photos music films programs etc from my iMac to my Macbook Pro when i got him, wich is the best option,Firewire 800 o just put my TimeMachine copy and restore for the copy from him, another options?.Thanks in advance 🙂

Firewire 800 using migration assistant when you first boot up the MacBook Pro is best. The startup assistant will ask you if you want to transfer your files, just choose yes and follow the steps.

I keep all my music and pics on another drive so that when I upgrade it is not an issue. Use <option> key when starting itunes or iphoto to choose the library.

firewire 800 and migration assistant is the best option, but in case you dont have a firewire 800 cable and dont feel like buying one for a single use, you can also use ethernet cable from one machine to another and migration assistant.
