I have been backing up my blu ray collection with MakeMKV. I have been using Plex to play my .mkv files and most of them have play back fine, but I have a couple that play back jerky. The same blu-ray's will play back fine when I am watching the disc. I have tried playing back these jerky files on both my computer and my home theater. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks,
    Steve

It must be something with your video file because it's not the computer!

What are the bit rates and video codecs in these problematic videos?

The movie is Battle for Terra. It's 14.7 Mbps, AVC. I just tried playing this movie back with the latest VLC, verson 1.0.3, and it played back fine. I am surprised that PLEX had an issue with it. Are there any settings in PLEX that could be adjusted to get this to play back smoothly?

I'm not sure what the problem is. The principal issues Plex has been with VC-1, but there are still some problems under Snow Leopard. You have a strange problem with that rip.
