I have a large table in a pages document, which I'd like to either copy into numbers, or to export to CSV format.

I'm shocked that copy/paste doesn't work for table content between pages and numbers. This seems a most basic function for apps which are considered a suite. Also surprised that .CSV isn't an option for exporting table content from pages.

Has anyone got a solution for these issues?

It worked for me. Right click on the circle (top left) which appears when you click in the table, select "copy" then paste into a Numbers document.

I just opened a new, blank, Numbers doc and it worked. All the formatting, cell colours etc copied across.

I found a solution to this: Copy the info from the pages spreadsheets to a google docs, then copy to numbers.

The method as described by @adrianlondon should work.
The trick is not to paste it into an existing table, but straight onto an empty area in your .numbers document.
It didn't work for me either. I couldn't even paste the text content of a cell in a pages spreadsheets onto a numbers page.
