In iOS 9, you were able to copy a phone number in the phone app after holding down on the number after hitting the circle I. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that in IOS 10. Am I going crazy or does it not allow this anymore?

From what screen in the Phone app (and what circle)?

It still works that way.

Seems as it's no longer possible in iOS10. Best way I can find is choose to create a new contact and copy it then cancel or save.

Dammit I'm just an idiot. I didn't catch the subforum. I just saw the title in recent comments. Sorry.

Hopefully that's just an oversight/not yet implemented. It's too useful not to have.

There's a fair few things wrong in Recents and Phone contacts in general, hoping it's smoothed over over the betas.

The only way I have found to do it is to 3D Touch on the number and then you can copy it from the menu that pops up

I guess the theory is that you should just 'share contact' and pretty much any app that you would paste it in to will be in the share sheet/pop up? Just a guess as that doesn't actually work if, for example, you wanted to just paste it into notes rather than send it to someone else.
