    Hello all,
Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong section, correct me if it is. Also if it has been mentioned before.

Today I took a look through my Mac's iTunes Music folder, specifically the Mobile Applications folder. (Accessed via ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications.

I noticed that in there, there are a number of copies of exactly the same apps, as if when updating apps in iTunes, rather than overwriting the existing file, it creates a new one!
For example, I found that in the folder, there was:
    Tic-Tac-Touch.ipa, Tic-Tac-Touch 1.ipa, Tic-Tac-Touch 2.ipa, Tic-Tac-Touch 3.ipa & Tic-Tac-Touch 4.ipa!!
I know that this app has been updated 4 times since V1.0, so each copy is of a different version.

What I am asking is can I delete the old apps & just leave the latest one in the folder? Perhaps rename the latest one so it doesn't have the 4 or whatever at the end?

Thanks guys, I know you can help!

i dont know if you can do that without messing up the apps, but why dont you try just moving the old files, and then sync your phone, and if all your apps still work fine then youre good to delete the old files. if they dont work you can then just put them back re-sync and you should be fine.
