I downloaded the iOS 13 version a long time ago for the heck of it just to see what they had and how well it matched iOS. I got rid of it like 2 days later. I'm sure a lot of others did the same.

I did not download it to make my device like iOS. I jailbroke my iPad for years to make it different than default.

Just buy an iPhone !!!!!
Just supposing you want the launcher, (which has proven easy to get), but................want the Android OS with it's capabilities that iOS doesn't have?
I know the answer to this, it's, Just buy an Android !!!!!

If they wanted an iPhone they'd probably have bought one already no?

fan boy comments - love it, just makes me laugh,. :):p

So many nerdy comments .. “my way or the highway” attitudes, the arrogance is cult like.

Like what? Isn’t this all superficial, while Android lovers probably pick it for the functional differences?
Well, I have both an android phone (a Flip3, soon a flip3), and an iPhone 13 Mini, and I love that android auto works a LOT better than Carplay, and I love how customizable android is. There are a few app categories that just aren't there on an iPhone too.

I guess you could count me in the number of people moving to android from iPhone, but I don't need the iPhone skin on it though. Good to know I could have it if I wanted it though!

I can't imagine why anyone would like to ruin Android by having the world's most back-a**ed GUi running on it. iOS is good under the hood but up top it's a narcissistic kidergarten.

My Galaxy is more expensive than iPhone 13 Pro Max
There are some android phones that are pricey but the vast majority are much more affordable. Even on some of the more expensive ones I've seen them being sold for half price just a few months after they are released. They're probably not doing this for the fold because of demand.

I’ll admit, I’d love to have Nova Launcher on my iPhone. I’d also love to have an a actual app drawer that I could categorize all my apps and leave the home screen with just a clock and my wallpaper.

But I’m not willing to leave iOS.

Yet.

iPhoney users:
“My knockoff iPhone had that feature first!!! LOL LMAO [fake Apple laughing emoji] Apple is years behind!!!!!”

Me:
“Moron, Mac had those features 20 years ago.”

I would simply just…buy an iphone.
TBH, this app has got me thinking about buying an Android now. Can I really have the iPhone experience, but without the walled garden, with side loading, and with customisation to remove the most annoying control-freak features of iOS?!

Hmmm, is there even a high quality Android that still has the jack?!!!

What are you guys talking about? "Buy an iPhone" I can think of dozens of reasons why somebody would like to trial iOS (admittedly, a much, much worse version), mainly if they already have a working functional phone.
Plus, maybe they actually like the lack of the walled garden control freakiness, but otherwise want an iPhone...

I would love to change the actual iOS interface without going through a rigorous 5 step approach to making the interface seem like it was changed. Anyways, android lets you do anything. This article/subject is mute.

The ecosystem, apps, warranty, longer software support. Just the few that come to mind.
Huh, none of those are what draws me to iOS.

- I quite frankly find the Apple "ecosystem" to be a super annoying trash can. I have to actually turn off iCloud on my Mac so I don't get annoyed by my Mac trying to be a phone. And on the subject of iCloud, I've already had it lose some of my data, so I avoid it entirely. I actually don't trust Apple at all. All their sneaky, tricky, bullcr*p about "privacy" and "security", when it's clearly all about maintain the massive profits of the monopoly control, absolutely destroys my trust of them. I avoid all built in Apple apps when there is an alternative. And where there is no alternative, is where Apple gets lazy and doesn't bother to develop the app very well.

- All the same apps are available on Android. Well, certainly all the ones I use. Android also has a decent file system (ahem, talking about ecosystem ffs). And built in Apple apps are embarrassingly trash.

- Warranty in my country is legally longer and more comprehensive than Apple's default warranty, and same for every other phone, so that's a non-event

- Software support?! You'd maybe have a point if Apple didn't constantly break things with every iOS update, AND make it impossible to go back to an older version if the new version is giving you problems. Tragically f'ed up level of control freakiness.

What attracts me to the iPhone is:
- That I know the hardware works consistently well. I know I can buy a new iPhone and it will be fast and responsive.
- I won't have to sift through the kludge of crap-ware that the hardware company slaps on top of Android. (Or maybe it's just that I'm more familiar with Apple's cr*p-ware).

Damn, now I'm realising that I'm actually using iPhones because I'm too lazy to research Android phones properly and find one I like!
