iPad Pro Copying 1000+ photos to external drive

I have a 2026 IPad Pro and an external Crucial usb c drive. I have a folder on the iPad that has 1000+ photos but it won’t let me copy the folder over to the connected drive - I get an error message.

Now if I go in to the folder, select say 20 photos, and then copy and paste to the drive, it works. I thought I could perhaps just select all the photos in the folder and copy and paste the same way, but “copy” is no longer an option when I do this.

Is there an app that I can use to do this, or am I limited to just doing it in small batches?

try copying bigger "small batches".....like 500, and if that doesn't work then try smaller still. Are these backed up to icloud? That might be creating the problem

Have you looked at Photosync? I just tried with a larger batch, seems to run without issues.

Try compressing the file into a Zip first.
