Is it possible to copy from an sd card to an external drive on ios13?
I’m trying to run backups of sd cards using an iPad Pro and a usb-c hub.

I know you can use the files app to copy from an SD card or an external drive into the iPad, but I haven’t found anything anywhere about copying from SD to external.

Can anyone confirm if this is possible?

Should be possible using a USB hub, yes. You can attach multiple devices and you can copy between any devices attached.

Yes it is possible, but as the other poster stated you need a hub.

I tested it on a Kingston Nucleum hub with a power supply. I can try it without the power supply after work, if you like.

To answer the question, yes you can. I copied several raw camera images from an SD card to an external SSD, both hooked up to the Nucleum drive with no power. Hope that helps.
