If you plan to buy it to use for a while, to me, the answer is simple.

1. Is the price reasonable?
2. If you use it, are your satisfied with the performance?

If both of those answers are yet, then it is an okay buy for you. Yes, the technology is old, and yes, the newer processors are faster, but that doesn't mean there isn't still good use left in this older tech.

Heck, I have a couple of PCs over 11 years old that I still use for specific needs. And I also have some wicked fast hardware. It's all about what YOU get from it.
