Core i5 MacBook Pro SLOW Boot Time

i have a macbook pro i5 2.4 late 2010 with 1tb hard drive, and 8gb of memory, and it takes over a minute to start. I thought that was normal beign it has a 1tb hard drive. I just tested it from the time the shime starts to actual desk top screen 1 minute 16 seconds..

90 seconds is kinda slow but not out of the ordinary, if you want a faster boot time get a faster HDD or SSD.

90 seconds is not ordinary at all. That's just way too slow.

I have a macbook 4,1 with a 7200 rpm drive and it boots in less than 30 seconds! This is osx lion we're talking about!
