Week 43---no problem

I have not noticed any problem with my W43 MBP (c2d). I hope it will stay that way until the time I upgrade in the future.

i had 4 CD mbp that all went back, i am pretty fussy but this is the 1st C2D MBP and it's flawless, no whine, screen hiss, dead pixels, wonkey keys, excessive heat, distorted speakers, faulty latch button.

the only thing that annoys a little is the battery is supposed to last longer but seems exactly the same to me ?!

Week 45

I'm a perfectionist. I've went through 4 CD MBP, they were all bought from retail Apple stores, only one of them is near flawless.

My new C2D MBP was bought from online Apple store, it's pretty much flawless. Other than the DVI port is much tighter for apater to plug into, which causing some small scratch around the metal areas of DVI port. For those of you used the DVI adapter, take a look. Also the lid (screen) seems a little warpped when closed but not as bad as the flaw CD MBP I've went through.

Base on my experience, online stores seem to have more quality built units versus retail stores.

Cool, is that a 9C60 screen? (To check, go to Sys Pref > Displays > Color > Open Profile and click the 13th row.)

Yup, it says 9C60. Seems like you've been doing some homework, can you tell me what's special about this batch of screen?

It is supposedly better, but not guaranteed. I got the 9C60 too and suffer from some uneven backlighting.
