Yea I think there have been CLI jailbreak options in the past too. I don't think they would release it half-baked to the community.

If the Dev-Team thought the method was ready, they would have integrated it into Redsn0w instead of offering a CLI app. That they did not means that they think the method needs more debugging for perfection. Musclenerd said as much in his post: when they've perfected the method, they fully intend to add it to Redsn0w.

I just did it last night myself. Not sure why really since I don't depend on an unlock.

To downgrade to 9A405 from 9A406, just put your phone into DFU mode and restore to the 9A405 .ipsw

Looks like the unlock will be for 5.0 only anyways though.
