Hello,

I am putting together a video with FCE that has both HD and SD footage. The HD "footage" is actually just a layered picture that has some graphics on the sides of the it so that when my SD footage is playing, there aren't the plain black bars on the side (Similar to what HD channels do when only airing SD content..ESPN, etc.)

I can't seem to find the right settings for this because when I try different settings by opening new projects in different formats...either the SD footage stretches out of 4:3 into anamorphic dimensions OR the HD-shaped picture gets condensed and it all gets messed up.

Bottom Line: How can I get this SD video to layer over my 16:9 picture this way when it shows on an HD TV, it will look fantastic!

Please Help! No one has been able to help me!
