Hy girlfriend was organizing/editing some photos in iPhoto on her iBook g4 and she thought she had it plugged in. As it turns out she didn't and the battery died in the middle of organizing/editing and now he iPhoto library "beachballs" whenever she tries to open it. I have tried to rebuild it and that didn't help. Anything else I can do? I am not worried about getting the photos themselves back but I am concerned about getting the folders and any editing she has done back. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Best thing I can think of is to open the iPhoto library package in the Finder (right click, show package contents) then pull out anything worth saving (usually in the Originals folder). Then move (or trash) the iPhoto library out of the folder it's in. Reopen iPhoto, it will make a new library, then re-import whatever you deemed worth saving.
