it's been about 9 days since i got my iphone and i just saw a chip on the plastic near one of the screw holes at the bottom of my phone. i NEVER touched it and didn't mess around with the screws.

considering it's cosmetic, i don't know if they will let me exchange it, but it is within the 14 day period, and man, i spent 6 hours in line AND $300. does anyone know if they will replace it for me? if i just get a return and try to buy another one, i have a feeling i'm going to have to wait again.......... NOOOOOOOOO.

please, what are your thoughts?

Call the Apple store near you (if possible) and set up an appointment for the Genius Bar to tell a "Genius" your problems. . I did this yesterday and there was an appointment for me the same day. I exchanged the phone and am more happy with this one then the last one.

i would just skip the genius bar because nothing is "technically" wrong with it. show it to a specialist and they might be able to help you out.
