I just had my Macbook Pro Retina's screen replaced, and figured there may be some on here who are wondering as to cost and time.
I walked into the Apple Store with a pretty bad crack along the side. I had asked them in advance by two weeks (I was out of the country) to have a new screen on hand at the store, and thankfully they did.
In total it took $729 including labor charges, and 6 hours (bearing in mind the store was in the midst of the iPhone 5 launch) to replace the screen.
Now I need to invest in a hard case of some sort and be more careful
