I've recently had someone emailing me about how much it would cost for me to maintain their site for them, for example getting new pictures posted along with news and other content, as well as updating their MySpace and Facebook pages. The CMS is Modera. If anyone wants the URL of the site, I'll PM you with it, but I'm not sure if I should post it here yet.

How much should I charge for this service?

Work out a hourly rate in your head of what you think you are worth based on your skill, education and experience.

For me i based my wage staggered to my education level of the time.

HND i had 2 years experience and education so i charged around twice minimum wage depending on client. £8-£12 a hour.

With my BSC Honours at current i charge from £20+ a hour because my skill set has vastly improved and i am able to do what would have taken me 4 hours in the past now take me 1 hour.

Though it it never so clear cut, your client will often have a budget in mind and the hard part is to justify your pay to the client if it is over there budget and sometimes it is better to drop the client.
