Apple is actually selling this model for $1300...so this is $150 off their price. Also consider that AppleCare+ is $250 for this on Apple and $200 here. You may consider foregoing it (AppleCare+ is really good through) as Costco extends manufacturer warranty +1 year (so 2 years on this). But if you were to get AppleCare+ this is then $200 off Apple's price.

Too bad I have no interest in this configuration...

Most people don’t seems to know. If you use the Costco city credit card you get 2 + 2 yess of warranty.

Costco citi extended warranty.

Thanks for the info. May I ask why you have no interest in this configuration? Which config are you looking for?

I'd rather have 16GB and I personally don't need more than the base storage. Basically it's still more money for stuff I won't ever use. if you are planning to store a good bit locally then this should be a strong consideration.
