Costco.com carries a number of ipods. Ranging from the Ipod 60 gb to the shuffle 512mb. Each day it seems as if they take on ipod down and replace it with another one. Just wondering whether you guys think Costco will pick up the "nano". If so when do you think it will be available to purchase from their online site? Thanks alot

It's Costco. Check Apple's website. If they are shipping in 3 days, and it holds, then it is likely that Cosco will buy a million of them, and divide them into coinvent packs of 1000 for you to buy. The only problem is that the NanoTubes (silicone skins) for iPods will come in packs of 1005 meaning that you will have to buy 2 lots of NanoTubes to conver your 1000 nanos. It's just like hotdogs and hotdog buns.

Email CostCo here.

I used to work for Costco, so I will throw in some input here...

They will carry the new iPod but not right away. It seems like corporate waits a bit to see how a product sells before they stock it.

It has been about 2 years since I left Costco, so they may have changed, but I wouldn't expect it right away.

If you can wait, wait...nothing beats the Costco warranty/guarantee.

Considering that the iPod mini was a runaway hit, nothing is to the Nano will not be.

Costco, might not wait on this product. ;) :)

I believe Apple replaced the iPod mini, since they had a Mac mini. People might have gotten confused a lot. And to lose the confusing they dropped the line and replaced with the Nano. Just my 2 cents. :D

Thank you all.
Yes the Costco garuantee definintely rocks! =)

What exactly is Costco's guarantee on electronics - specifically iPods? The only thing I can find on their website says,

" We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell by offering a full refund, subject to certain product specific limitations."

What does "certain product specific limitations" mean?

Also, I've been thinking about this, I know Best Buy's extended service plan is usually a rip off but in the iPod's case would it make sense to buy the iPod at Best Buy and then be able to return it or exchange it for the most current model after a few years of use if the hard drive dies? Thoughts?

It means if you are ever not satisified with something you buy at Costco, even if its 3 years down the road and it breaks, just take it back for a full refund. All you need is your receipt and original box, etc.
