My wife and I each have an iPad 4. They've been great devices, serving us well for almost five years. Over the past year, however, they've become very slow, and they crash or freeze frequently. And, of course, they won't support iOS 11, which I'm really looking forward to. My wife's needs are basic. Mine are a bit more intensive. Try as I might, though, I can't justify the purchase of an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Apple Smart Keyboard. It's a function of budget and the fact that I have a 2015 13" MBP and a late 2012 Mac mini for my heavy lifting. Costco normally has the 32 GB 9.7" iPad for $319 ($10 less that Apple's price) and the 128 GB version for $399 ($30 less than Apple's price). I was about to pull the trigger and get the 128 GB version for my wife and myself. I logged onto Costco's website and discovered that, during the month on August, the 128 GB version is only $359 for Costco members, if you buy it online. That's an incredible bang for the buck! Needless to say, I pulled the trigger.

It is in store at my local Costco as well. 128GB iPad for $359 is so tempting.

You are gonna love that upgrade. Just got me the 2017 iPad today. Tried a 10.5 pro model, wasn't impressed. and returned it for 2017 regular iPad. Does everything I need it to. Was worried about it not having a laminated screen, but after using it for half of today, hasn't bothered me a bit. Gonna use that money I saved for a new plus phone this year.

Really frustrating to name a global store with dollar pricing and yet the location nor the users membership details state their location. So others are unsure the pricing is relevant to them. :(

That's good to hear! I'd prefer to have the new iPad Pro, but my funds aren't unlimited, and getting an iPad Pro would be about want rather than need. For my blog, I do a lot of writing, and my MBP's keyboard is great for that. There's no logical reason to try to replace my Mac with an iPad, when a combination of both has been working fine. I dabble in art, and I love the Apple Pencil with the iPad Pro, based on playing with it in the Apple Store, but "dabble" is the key word. I have a history of buying top-of-the-line stuff that I don't make use of, and I've been trying to reform. The "regular" iPad 9.7 is all I need, even if it isn't getting much love on this forum. :)

Sorry, I don't understand your post. I also don't understand why Costco says this deal is "for members only," because I thought you have to be a member to buy *anything* from them. And I didn't know that Costco is in Canada, if indeed it is. If it is, why don't you contact your local Costco to see if they have a Canadian deal?

Costco is in Canada with 2 locations in Toronto, one in Oshawa, Ajax etc. I figured since you're reporting the deal you'd at least mention the location (country wise). Of course I could contact them as well.

The prices the OP posted were definitely not Canadian prices. lol

Well, how am I supposed to know in which countries Costco is located? There's another thread talking about sales at Best Buy and Walmart, and nobody mentions which country those sales are for. How difficult is it for you to check out the deals in Canada, and why do you feel the need to chastise me for not doing that research for you? Geez...

Nobody is chastising you. By the same argument you've just posted how hard is it for you to post what state its in. This is a globally accessible forum with global members. You made the post which others will view - as I've already said sure I could've searched and like others could potentially post saying I don't see a sale (also not stating location). I stated an opinion, not something for you to get all bent out of shape on, chill.

Our local Costco has this offer. Utah, USA

Edit to add: Our warehouse only carries the gray model but you can order the silver and gold model online.
