This is new, right? Might be where I buy my next MacBook Pro. Always good to have options.

I was just there. Yes, they sell them in store and online. It's only a deal if you get AppleCare.
Costco usually offers other benefits, like an extended return policy. Dunno if that's the case here.

[doublepost=1559691905][/doublepost]Haven't seen this in Canada yet.

I’ve had a membership for a couple of years and they’ve had Macs every time I have been in.

Not sure that's totally true. About 6 or 7 years ago they had some sort of falling out with Apple and quit carrying anything Apple made, perhaps, except iTunes gift cards... They brought the iPads back to the store a few years ago... but the Macs are a relatively new item at Costco, at least in the Phoenix area.

I haven't been in to Costco for some time but don't remember seeing Macs there for sale. Sams Club also does not carry Mac computers but does stock iPads and iPhones plus some accessories.

Military exchanges stock Macs plus a variety of other Apple devices. Great prices and no sales tax.

I have only had the membership for two or three years, so I don’t know about before then. I think this will be year three. Mine just renewed this month.

They showed up in Dallas Texas this week as well. Definitely just saw iPads before.

Any downside to purchasing the MacBook Air or Pro at Costco vs the Apple Store. We usually go to the Apple store, but noticed them at our local Costco now.

No downside that I'm aware of. Costco is an authorized Apple reseller and I believe has a more generous return policy than Apple. You can also purchase Apple Care Plus from Costco.

If you know exactly what you want, and the limited selection at Costco fits the bill, and you don't need technical answers or data migration services, and the price beats Apple's, why not go Costco? The Macs come from the same factory, with the same parts, the same build quality, the same warranty. And if you need repairs or technical assistance, the Apple Store and AppleCare will give you the same level of support.
