I know AT&T hasn't released pricing yet for the 3G phones so this is a question for the current generation to get a sense of what might be for the new model.

I am planning on moving to the iPhone 3G when it's released but I need to get a sense of monthly cost. I know there is the voice/data plan, SMS texting, IMing, etc. Basically what I need to know is am I going to be charged every time I access the web, check e-mail or IM? I assume there will be a package for text messaging (200 messages?) but what about the other features? I don't want to think I'm spending $70-$80 a month and then find out I'm not covered and end up spending $150-$200.

So with the current iPhone plans how does the cost break down?

    Here's the cost breakdown:
I believe the cheapest voice plan is $39.99 for 450 minutes with rollover and 5000 night and weekend.
The data plan is completely unlimited data (3G surfing, YouTube, email, etc.) for $30.
Text message plans are $5 for 200, $10 for 1500, and $20 for unlimited.

So, based on what it sounds like you're looking for, the plan with 450 rollover minutes, unlimited data, and 200 text messages will be $75.
