Hello,

I have an iPad 2 in black that I got on launch day. I'm very pleased with the iPad, but have some back light bleeding. I'm not sure if I'm going to take it in, but if I do could I request a white iPad 2 instead of black for the replacement? I'm not sure I'll even do this, but I would like to know if I have the option.

They told me I had to return it, and then wait in line and hope for a black, they would only warranty replace my white for a white.

You're out of the 14-day return window, so you have two options.

1 -- book a Genius Bar appointment in regards to the back light bleeding, and if they offer to give you a warranty replacement, see if they will let you change colors.

2 -- ask a manager if you can return the entire kit (iPad, box, cables, etc) for a refund, and then get in line to buy a black one.
