i much prefer notability even with some new features to notes in iOS 11, but the document scanner looks really useful. Currently I'm using Dropbox as a document scanner which I then share sheet to notability, but with apple notes using arkit, I feel like the scanner might be better.

What do you think?

The scanner works, I have used it several times. My only complaint is that it takes some effort to get the scan out of notes and into something else like an email. I would like to see the feature expanded to other apps besides notes so I can sign a document and email it back via scan directly into a message. Unless I'm missing something.

So I couldn't just scan a document and export it to notability? That's disappointing

Just FYI, Apple Notes does not use ARKit for document scanning.
