The alert test was very imperative due to its importance to get attention all people in the event dangerous situations threat our safety. Keep calm 😊 and understand the importance for our life. The noise would not damage the hardware 😊
Alert system is very important, agreed. The question on this thread is, does it need to be full volume? And could that potentially damage the hardware? Maybe, maybe not, based on an article on 9to5mac some users of iPhone 15’s have experienced damage to the receiver after turning it up to full volume.

If there was an actual national emergency the last thing I'd worry about is my iPhone 15.
True, agreed, good thing this one was a test, which brings us back to the actual question, do the alerts need to be full volume and is that good for hardware? I think this is something that could be considered during the testing phase.

Yeah, it should be. It is a test.

If an ICBM was launched to your location I'd want to know immediately that I need to seek a nuclear bomb shelter.

And yet so few would regard the iPhone as "boiling" hot, boiling, so perhaps there's just lots of hyperbole here.

Based on this reasoning, it appears the high volume may cause confusion? As it would probably be better if you took shelter if launched to your location, as opposed to mine! Perhaps if the volume was reduced to 80 it would help with understanding the alert? Good thing it was a test!

What if you're in a different room or the phone's charging indoor and the user is outdoors?

The more obvious the alert is the better. Most persons should be alerted.

Heavy sleepers need it the most.

Be thankful that the persons who controls this are prudent and aren't promoting anything stupid like film festivals.

Where is your nearest nuclear bomb shelter? How long would it take you to get there? For most people the simple solution is to place their head between their legs and kiss their tush goodbye.

Hence why complain about the iPhone getting damaged? We're all gonna die within 100 years from now.

But I’d prefer to have an undamaged iPhone during those 100 years if possible.

Again, it would probably be better to focus more on where your shelter is as opposed to mine.
Would it have sounded better to say "Where is my nuclear bomb shelter"? Nope. I was dealing with it from your perspective, not mine.

Accidental post, lost focus on who wrote what lol sorry about that. My proofreader would have caught it eventually, glad I caught it myself this time!

No problem. Someone in our discussion needs to be rooted in factual statements, after all.
