    Hi.

I was wondering about high noise and iPhone mics.

Could it take damage if you example record a movie where it is very loud sounds? Like in front of a music concert with high sounds where people yelling, or if you yelling or scream under a phonecall? :)

    Thanks for replies

I doubt it. Sound is just vibrations and the microphone will feel them whether it's in use or not. If sound was loud enough to damage the mic while recording, it should also damage the mic while not recording.

Plus your eardrums would probably explode at a volume that great.

The mic would have a max input. After reaching the max it would distort.

I have carried iPhones, both on and off, for years in environments over 100db with no apparent microphone damage.
    Yes, I wear earplugs.
    Yes, I'm hard of hearing.
