Could You Give Up Your iPhone For A Week?

I didn't have a mobile phone at all for 35 years so I think I could cope for a week without my iPhone.
 
No I could not. I had my BB Storm and couldn't live without and I know I can't live without my iphone.

I would be so bored without and feel so lost.
 
Yes. To me, anything that is only a device can be put away. But, not for more than a week. Boredom will kill me. Ah, the days before the iPhone when I owned a Blackberry.. 😱
 
I can give up my iPhone for a week. I have another cell phone I can use during the week. A few days to fight my current iPhone habits for interacting with the phone, and I would be set.
 
Yup! I've done it!

To me, the iPhone-ness is wearing off and now it's more like "just a phone" to me now. I have 1 third party app on it and it gets the job done. I kinda like the simplified life of owning an iPhone. I'm not really into downloading apps anymore.

I always see people with 4 or 5 pages of apps and I think to myself "Do they actually use or need those apps, or are they only for showing off what their iPhone can do?"

I guess I just like to keep things simple.


Anyways… yes, I could go more than a week without my iPhone. It's not special to me anymore.

What? Really? They still have to run diagnostic tests, and the plugging the phone in turns it on. They even activated my replacement iPhone with iTunes at the Genius Bar on their MacBook.
Plus I doubt the genius would ask me to turn my phone on if I brought it in turned off for replacement.
 
Would miss it

I'm planning a vacation to get away for a week during the winter. On one hand I would love to be able to leave the iPhone behind and get away from email, text messages, and having people call me. On the other hand it will be nice to have the Internet to check out restuarants, find interesting things to do, and navigation for getting around. The iPhone is the best portable tool for that purpose. It's much more convenient than fooling with maps and tourist brochures.

The problem is I will be tempted to play with the other stuff.
 
One week? Hard to say, probably not though. I use iCal a lot and check email. Also as somebody else said it would be boring on the crapper.

then again, i was able to give up internet completely for 3 months as i was living in a place where there was no internet

you do adapt
