Can you see Apple providing the option of having a built-in SSD like the MacBook Air + an internal HDD to the MacBook Pro Sandy Bridge update?

Absolutely. The iMacs already do it, and the MBP I just sold had an Optibay in it to do the exact same thing. It served me flawlessly for 5 lovely months (almost no issues at all), and once being properly set up, the experience was basically seamless. I'm sure Apple could implement it fairly well.

Yes I think this is possible only if they are going to lighten the footprint of the MBP and/or provide a dedicated GPU for the 13".

they wont be having an ssd in it by default for a few years, unless you feel like paying another 1200 ontop of what your paying just for the 512GB SSD.

but, a hybrid of a 512GB HDD with a 5GB SSD and the SSD would have the OS on it and everything else would be stored on the HDD seems plausible.
