Couple of question on synching to get new update at work

I dont have my laptop with me which is the org computer I set my iphone up on. Can I download Itunes to work computer and then follow up with the update??

Second I used Ibrickr to install third party apps...Should I do a full restore on the phone prior to downloading the update and also used installer to add some apps..

well I just went ahead and downloaded Itunes at work and hit restore so see what happens
