Couple of questions regarding warranty/dead pixel screen problem

Hi,

So, I've read that apple will either replace, or fix your IPad, if there are more than 3 dead pixels.

Is this true? Has anybody gotten their ipad replaced, due to 3-5 small dead pixels?

If so, if I purchase Apple Care, would that policy concerning the replacement, still be covered on the IPad, 2 years down the road?

Do I need to bring a proof of purchase, or can they just check it up online, which is what I did when checking remaining warranty?
