I never really thought about it before seeing this poll, but I don't think I've used coverflow once since I got the iPhone. I used to use it on the iPod touch all the time. No idea why the change now... but it must not be that useful if I didn't even realize I'd stopped using it!

I don't use it that much, but my gf's daughter (4 yr old) loves it. She loves flipping through it to see what song she likes:D.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5B108 Safari/525.20)

I never use it, and wish it could be turned off.

That sounds familiar. Did we have this conversation on another forum?
Well, I've felt that way since the first time I plugged in my first ipod, and I do alot of forumming, but I can't recall ever talking about it on a forum before

I honestly don't think I'm the only one who feels this way, so I'm not surprised you've had this conversation with someone else. I think the only people who truly LOVE the ipod are people who don't know any better. That is, they haven't been using mp3s since the codec was invented, they don't have huge libraries they've been collecting for years, they haven't used superior programs to itunes, and they haven't thought of or used much better/easier ways to load media onto a portable media device. They don't need any "advanced" features, they just need it to be as easy as possible to load a few of their cds onto their ipod, and maybe download a few songs from itunes. And Apple does this pretty damn well. They've really penetrated the market because of how easy they've made it for these people to use. And, those people are the majority, by far.

But that's neither here nor there. I'm giving the iphone ipod a fair chance and it's really not that bad, but still, there are improvements to be made that would benefit everyone, IMO.

Oh, thanks. I've been using mp3 players since before the iPod and I was never as happy as the day I dumped my Nomad Jukebox in the trash and unwrapped the first-ever iPod. I guess that makes me an idiot.

As we all know from years and years of Mac-bashing, Apple's greatest sin is making things too easy. 'Cause if something's easy to use, we don't feel like geniuses when we finally figure out how to use it!

Welp, I gotta leave work now. I have to walk to the bus stop. I don't really like doing it, 'cause almost anyone can walk. Evolution has made it really easy for people with legs to get from one place to another, and these people are the majority by far. But what about those of us who need advanced features like hovering ability? Ah well, I'm sure Microsoft will get around to that soon.

:D

I didn't mean it to be insulting to people who like the ipod/itunes the way they are. Sorry that you took offense.

I use coverflow 95% of the time except to get to my recently added. My stuff is very organized so it looks nice..

It's cool to watch...nicely rendered. But I have a lot of playlists, so I don't particularly need it. Just eye candy, but what's wrong with that?

The vast majority of my library was originally on CD, so I don't have album artwork to look at. Pretty boring flipping through all those blank album covers. So no, I don't use it.
