When just surfing the web my CPU "Usage" is only like 4% but when ever i watch a video from youtube or break.com it always jumps up to like 30% usage, is this normal? I never thought a little video like that would cause so much more usage.

Flash video players are notoriously inefficient. It's one of the downsides of Flash becoming the new de facto web video standard.

So in other words your CPU usage also raises to like 30% when watching flash videos right? I just got my screen replaced and finally have a perfect screen, i just wanna make sure nothing else is wrong lol.

Absolutely nothing to worry about. Flash is ridiculously CPU hungry on all platforms (Windows and OS X alike) for video decoding...

K, so I just posted something about this today. Nice job on looking around for post like yours that could answer the same question.

not only are flash videos to blame, but so is safari. Generally firefox will handle flash better, and you will notice significant decreases in CPU usage when watching youtube videos and the like in firefox than in safari.

try watching regular and hd videos (in safari) from dailymotion.com! 50%+ CPU usage...then try it in firefox.
