Yeah I still want an iPhone but after the utter farce that is CPW I've just cancelled the order.
Initial order placed early monday, hadn't progressed by Tuesday morning so called up, found out that some muppet on their team had added an additional address to my previous address history so was failing the credit check. Was told I'd get a call back within an hour, no call back, so I called them again, I'd be called by the end of the day, but there was nothing they could do.
No call back that day, so called back mid-morning wednesday, they were very apologetic, but someone would call me back that day as work load has been high. Strangely enough, no call back, called them yesterday morning, guy said oh I see what's happened, deletes order and recreates, passes credit check (seriously why didn't they do this initially??).
Get new order number, receive e-mail last night it has been dispatched, cool. Jump on the tracking page this morning, tracking number is invalid, not cool, call them up, find out that my order hasn't been dispatched will be turning up at my house on saturday, 2 problems, I had asked for it to be delivered to a store, secondly I'm away all weekend.
Sit down think, already spent 4 hours chasing this handset, CPW aren't covering themselves in glory, if it's this hard to get the phone then how hard is it going to be to get a PAC code, or cancel the contract in 18 months, should I so wish, ok lets cancel the order and complain. Go onto their website, online complaint form, fill it in, hit submit, site crashes, not great, try again, same result, different browser, same result. Call sales, they can't help order has been dispatched (City Link's site disagrees), end up waiting 15 minutes for customer care, agent is polite, offers to help, wants to check the order, so puts me on hold, in the process kicking me back to the main menu, 15 minutes of holding get someone else, mention the issue and I want to cancel the order, oh he can't help I have to talk to sales. I talked to them earlier in the same call, they couldn't help me, surely after being on the phone for near 40 minutes they can do something, but no, back on hold, 10 minutes later sales guy picks up the phone, gets full blast of my rage and frustration, and finally someone pulls their finger out of their arse and he cancels my order. Well I hope, anyway we will see....
So yeah, moral of the story, CPW are a bag of ***** and I'm more than happy to wait a few weeks and walk into a store and pick one up, but it wont be CPW.
