Crack 7+ Home button

I searched the forums but haven't come across this.

Somehow My 7+ now has a hairline crack in the home button. It doesn't affect the functionality at all. The screen has never been broken or replaced.

I plan on taking it in to Apple as The phone is only 6 months old but has anyone else run into this? Did you get it fixed and if so, what did it cost?

It likely didn't crack spontaneously. My guess is you Dropped it and the impact from the force caused the crack in the Home button, being it's at the bottom of the iPhone. Its likely not a cheap repair. But this is the first I have heard of the Home button cracking.

You might possibly get a little sympathy taking it in and seeing what they say.
