Okay, I have neve dropped an iPhone since I started using them (3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S).

Now I am on the iPhone 6 and I have dropped it 4 times! Usually on a corner which has made the screen an incredible spiderweb mess.

Are the screen-repair kiosks and 3rd party businesses really able to replace the screen? Is it a quality job? Does it damage the phone in anyway?

Anyone have any experiences or recommendations? (I'm in Orange Co., CA., FWIW).

Thanks.

Don't mess around with this. Take it to Apple and pay the apx. $130-150 for a new screen if you do not have AppleCare+.

You'll save your warranty eligibility if you need it in the future.

Its only $109 at Apple.
I'd take it there instead of trying to save $20 and getting a questionable screen that might not function as good as an original Apple replacement or questionable repair by people who might not be trained properly.

Thanks guys, great advice. I went tonight. They will do it for $109. They will also test it to ensure it is only the screen damaged and nothing else. I have to go back in a few days because they did not have an emergency back-up phone available should things go south during the replacement. I could risk it, but if the phone were further damaged than just the screen, I would be phone-less for 3-4 days. This way I can use my crack-screen until they have the backup phone in-stock, then go in and get the screen repaired.
