I just received my 14 Pro Max 512, but it seems to be faulty. When making a voice call, the sound coming out of the speaker is crackling so bad I can hardly hear the other side. The recipient almost can’t hear me. It happens with regular voice calls as well as FaceTime Audio calls.

What’s weird is that this doesn’t happen with FaceTime Video calls. Music also sounds fine. It’s only voice calls that pose a problem.

I tried everything: iOS update, hard reset, reset to factory settings… Everything. Keeps crackling.

Could this be a faulty device? What do you guys think?

Does FaceTime audio crackle also when you are using WiFi?
