Crackling sound when using Safari & Apple Music

I have a strange problem on my 3 weeks old M1 MacBook Air. Whenever I play audio in Safari or Apple Music via 3.5mm jack and I skip forward or backward, I hear a slight crackling sound for half a second. But on Google Chrome this is not the case! It's very weird and annoying.
Does anyone else have the same issue? Is there a fix? It probably has something to do with the sound card turning off if there's no audio playing..

It also happens when I'm in Finder and press the backspace key, a slight crackling sound.
