Today I noticed when my phone rang the speaker was crackling and it sounded very strange. Now sometimes it sounds half-normal, and sometimes bad again.

Anyone have an experience like this? I guess I have to call Apple care :(

Unfornately that is normal.

It is the GSM of the phone talking to your mobile tower.

If someone has a fix I don't know about it.

Apple can not do anything about it.

You realize it's the ringtones and my music that sounds strange right and only when coming out the bottom speaker? I don't see how it can be the cell network, and it didn't happen for two months?

Of course, if that is normal I'll accept it.

Thanks. I don't. I went ahead and called. They were nice about it. He told me to do a restore through iTunes and if still bad, they'll schedule a repair. Just my luck. ha-ha. :(

It seems better after the restore, though I'm scared it will happen again. Hopefully not.

It keeps happening periodically. :( :(

I'm sending it in for repair. Paid $30 for the loaner. How I wish I had a cheap unlocked GSM phone to use when it was going in.
