Good news about Bob Mansfield. I always liked him. I don't care what he does for Apple, really, as long as it's cool products and he'll keep showing up in those keynote videos.
I couldn't be happier that Bob is staying with Apple, he has always seemed to be a standup guy. He is always an excellent speaker in all of the Apple product videos. Really excited to see what Apple has next!
Same here. Keeping BOB on seems a wise thing. He comes across as a decent, level headed, down-to-earth no-nonsense guy, just what APPLE needs. Happy to see him stay!
Let's not forget BOB had stock options of 250,000 shares in total, maturing in 2013, 2014 and 2016: at yesterday's high of $680/share a cool 170 million, but happy just the same to see him stay.

Bowing to that affirmative action BS is a waste. I'm sure if there was a African American or woman who has been at Apple as long as those guys and are as qualified, they'd be at the top spots too. And by qualified, I mean a hard ass. These guys come off as soft during the Keynotes but I am sure each one is as blunt as Steve when it comes to work.
canyonblue737, well deduced. I'm in agreement - up to the vacation paid deal, I think he'll actively manage, and introduce new solutions and products. His work alone made IP4 work properly in IP4S (radio antenna), high-resolution retina displays (thank heavens!!), etc. I highly doubt others can contribute as much innovation solutions into future products THAT well, Riccio maybe.
