    Hey

After updating to Lion i've had this super annoying problem.

When i unplug the USB cord (from the Apple Display to my Macbook Pro) the computer crashes.

I get a gray screen telling me to restart my computer.

There were no problems doing this before upgrading to Lion.

I have the 24" Apple Display and the Macbook Pro from 2009 - the 13" 2,56GHz Core2Duo one.

Here's a copy of the problem repport from the latest crash, 15 min ago:

Apparently the USB audio kext has been corrupted.
Kext is like a driver for OS X.
Maybe it didn't get updated with Lion or the Lion update corrupted it?

If you want to, you can downgrade to Snow Leopard for the time being using this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65443
    Then update back to Lion.

Also, your model number indicates you have the 2010 MacBook Pro 13" 2.66Ghz.

Oh, yeah you're right about the model.. Whoops..

Anyway, do you mean i should downgrade to Snow Leopard and stay downgraded "for the time being".. When should i upgrade again then?

Or do you mean i should just downgrade and then upgrade again right away, hoping that a new install will solve my problem?

    Upgrade right away.
You could also do a fresh, clean install with a wiped hard drive as long as your data's all backed up. That would solve the problem as well.

All right.. Think i'll try the down- then upgrade before going with the clean install solution - even though i do have a Time Machine..

Also i have like 2 or 3 LameSecure files lying around, that i can't open on Lion.. Guess i can open them and move the files somewhere else, if i downgrade!

Okay, gotta admit i didn't understand the stuff in your link..

So i've googled downgrading, and is there really no way to downgrade without erasing my partition, installing SL on this new one, and then moving backup from an external drive back to the new SL partitioned drive?

I'd hate to have to set up all my settings and stuff again!
