Hello everyone, I have a Mid-2011 iMac. I bought this machine primarily for video editing, and it has a Quad-Core i5 with 12 GB of RAM. Randomly, today, FCPX is crashing every five minutes, and I can't understand why. I have nothing else open, and I'm getting super frustrated that a $1799 computer can't run a program that my old MBP ran with no problem.

HELP.

Re-install the software. Disk utility check your hdd or/and the drives you use for final cut.

Re-install operating system from USB/disc/hdd for a fresh start then install final cut obviously and see from there.

Otherwise maybe a component isn't working / malfunctioning with OSX/final cut and an apple store visit is in need. I've lugged my 27" iMac several times to the Perth apple store so it is annoying, but will get the best advice / service from them. (hopefully)
