Hi, I recently updated Itunes and now it crashes everytime I try to open it. I get a Exc..Bad Access...Kern Protection error message. Is there anything I can do? I've already tried to reinstall Itunes to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

*slaps iTunes for crashing* :p

Seriously, yes there is something you can do about this. Try moving iTunes's preference file to the Desktop (or anywhere else other than ~/Library/Preferences, where ~ is your home folder - the file is called com.apple.iTunes.plist), then restarting iTunes. If it still crashes, try the same thing with your iTunes Library file (which is located in ~/Music/iTunes).

Thanks but I think I have a bigger problem...

I appreciate your advice. I moved both files to my desktop and Itunes opened for two seconds then crashed. Now my Word, Safari and Excel programs do the same thing -- endless bouncing. My hard drive needed to be replaced a couple of months ago, even though it was only trhee months old so I think maybe I got a lemon.

But many thanks!
