What does this do for me when I'm surfing the web, or taking a picture, or texting, or making a phone call? Just curious.

Ya. Everything’s up to date.
I even restart my phone and close all apps and clear my memory before I do the test.
I usually score between 135k to 160k.
I really do not care. As long as my X gets the job done smoothly and quickly, I am good and find no need in running these tests. It must be nice that some have nothing better to do.
Just do the it first thing in the morning when its not use because this benchmark is so heavy it will get your cpu gpu to the max the whole time.Luckily I got nearly 211k this time.
What do you optimise to get 260k?

Used my iPhone X sparingly over the last few hours.
Got 240k this time.
This is what I'm finding so very very very sad.
The iPhone has so much power, and will only get faster and faster, and yet, due to marketing reasons, and perhaps design/hardware abilities on Apple's side. This power is just wasted.
How about something like a switch concept, where Apple make a dock, and you plug in your iPhone for full screen gaming with a proper controller.
Or something like Samsung, where, again, you place in a dock, in front of a monitor, keyboard, mouse and use it as a full computer.
Given speed increases both these scenarios could work in the future and be the only computing device many people will ever need.
It's just Apple's willpower to make it happen
