Creaking in brand new 15' MBP

Hi all - I purchased a new 15 inch 2018 MacBook Pro yesterday and am having an issue where the right side is making a quick creaking sound sporadically.

I can't seem to replicate it on command (say, on pushing where the noise is coming from, or by opening/closing the screen), but it comes out pretty consistently. I'd say every few minutes at the least. It's not a speaker noise. It sounds like a physical sound.

I know there was a popping in the 2017 Pro -- I actually have one of those -- but this is a different sound and coming from a different area.

Has anyone else run into this? Any word from Apple? It's really frustrating that a brand new computer would be making a noise like this.
 
Take it straight back to Apple, and they will just swap it straight out.

I’m sure with a new machine, they will just swap it out with a brand new one. I’m not sure what the cut off point is for that. I know they swapped out my MacBook with a brand new, sealed one.

Just remember to take the box and all the accessories back with it
 
I replaced it today. Same exact model. I'm still hearing these little creak / tick noises sporadically. This can't just be me.. can it? I'm not even doing much on my computer. Has anyone else had an issue like this?

I may just downgrade to the 13 inch. Sigh.

I had this exact same issue with my 15", also on the right side. Now after 3 weeks it doesn't happen anymore... not sure if maybe there's a stiffness or something in the hinge that got worked out with time but now it's perfect.

I have the same issue on my 2018 15 inch, just random "tick" or "creak" noises like im bending the aluminum or something (but it happens when im not even touching the computer). however for me, it happens on the left side of the computer. I don't know whats causing it, and im out of my return window. its not causing any problems, so ill just live with it, but its annoying nonetheless.
