I have a creaking MacBook - a Black Core Duo 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 80GB HD. When I open it and close it, you always hear a creaking noise and it's starting to piss me off! It's happened since day 1 ~ August 24th-ish. In this thread, it says put some WD40 on an ear bud and "rub it in" and it fixed theres. What do they mean? So are they saying to put WD40 on my iPod earbud and rub it on the MacBook's hinges? How? You can't get to the hinges without opening the MacBook unless your talking about putting the WD40 through the little crack which is extremely small? Are they talking about the little foam thingys that can go on iPod earbuds? Please help me if you have answers to this olution or have other solutions to fix this damn problem!
