Is there a way to create a Zip file in Mac OS X? I have tried to highlight a file and I don't have the archive option. Is there a setting I need to change or is this possible?
I have been using my MBP way more than my PC and today is the first time I have needed to zip something. I figure there is probably an easy way to do this and I'm just overlooking it.

You can do it in terminal easily enough. Command is

zip <zipped file name> <file to be zipped>

Or you can do a man zip and the man page will explain more completely. Which is what I do, because I've been a unix admin for way too long..

or right click (command click) on the file and select 'Compress' :D
