Create trend graph in numbers

I am using Numbers 3.2.2 in Yosemite and I am trying to create a trendline for a net worth spreadsheet I am making.


Does any know how to create a trendline for specific financial milestones?

the trendline below does not indicate at what point in time I would reach a net worth of 10 000$.

Also in the my actual net worth document I don't even have the trend option.

You need to add the axis point for the dates you want to predict, or until. Since your dates are linear and if you want the graph to look correct, you probably need to add the 1st of the month for several months.

Awesome thank you now I just need to find out where the trend-line section disappeared to in my actual document.


Edit I have to be doing something wrong the trend line section in the format bar is never consistently there from one document to the next.


Edit 2 This issue is with the type of chart I was using.
