creating a cross-platform cd?

Hi, i would like to know what software i need to burn/create a cd that can be read on apple machines and pcs.
 
thanks for the reply, but what about making sure that a cd created from a PC machine would be read-able once placed in a apple machine say, ibook.? 😕
